On our way back home we stopped to get a picture in front of the grand Tetons.

This is a large bison that blocked the road for a few miles. We pulled over and posed in front of a large herd of bison. The two that are closest to us were up to no good. The big one had crazy eyes.

This was in Yellowstone Park where we stopped by a river. Xander is posing in front of a herd of elk and the family is posing on the river bank. I hadn't been to Yellowstone since I was about 10 years old. It is magnificent and much more spectacular than I had remembered it.

Yellowstone

These are pictures of the family at a Park in West Yellowstone. We met this little boy named Gage who really wanted to show off his guinea pig named Rodney. He was really sweet but got a little upset when Ada tried to hurt his guinea pig. I had to explain that she is just a baby. Gage loved posing for the camera with his guinea pig. The kids loved this park. We had them pose on the bike rack which they thought was a giant butterfly.

Tonight, we finally tried out the new fire pit we built in the back yard. It was really fun except for the hoard of red ants. That reminds me of one of my favorite deep thoughts...."If you want to sue somebody, just get a little plastic skeleton and lay it in their yard. Then tell them their ants ate your baby." Here's another one appropriate for the mosquito feasting season....."You know what's probably a good thing to hang on your porch in the summertime, to keep mosquitos away from you and your guests?.... Just a big bag full of blood."

We are so excited that we have a few things actually growing in our garden this year. I picked a tomato and a squash yesterday! Wahoo! That is seriously really exciting for me. We had a bad experience a few years ago when Brian surprised me for mothers day with four beautiful and fully stocked, raised garden beds in our previous home. Unfortunately, I managed to kill everything except for the strawberries and green onions.

Xander saved up his birthday money and bought this fabulous new bike

This is where we had our family reunion swim day...This place is amazing!
