Memorial Day
Today is Memorial Day. We have a tradition of visiting the East Lawn Cemetary in Provo. We visit the gravesites and entice the kids to go by telling them that we will see all the cute little bunnies that live at the cemetary. We were explaining to Sydney that we will be visiting great grandparents who have died. We told her that their spirits are in Heaven with Heavenly Father and their bodies are buried at the cemetary. Sydney said "and their heads too"...geesh, what has she been watching?
Monumentous occasion...preschool graduation
Dylan graduated from preschool this week. He went very first in line and did a spectacular rendition of Rudy Rectangle. He also did a great job reading his "Ollie the Octopus" Book. (Notice how there are no pictures of him taking his cap and gown on and off...lets make that a fuzzy memory without pictures). Way to go buddy, you are off to Kindergarten!

baby whisperer
Grandma Hooge came to see Dylan's preschool graduation at Avondale Academy. Zoey had some type of Montezuma's revenge stomach trouble and was really fussy. Grandma Hooge walked around with Zoey and kept her happy. She is the baby whisperer. Zoey also spit up on her shirt about three times and Grandma took it in stride. What a great lady, We love you!
Home Teachers and the balloon
Since we have lived in our house we have never had a visit from home teachers. We were very excited to find out that we were assigned new home teachers. Our new home teachers came over for the first time today. They were really nice and very understanding when our kids started jumping all over the couches. The kids were asked to go play in the other room because we could only hear little bits of the lesson. Sydney came back into the room with a big squeaky red balloon left over from the party extravaganza on Saturday. Sydney started banging the balloon on the wall and on the couch. Suddenly I realized that the balloon had something drawn on it in black pen. There is no other way to describe the drawing other than it looked like a pair of boobs with nipples. Horrified, I tried to sneak the balloon away from Sydney and shove it behind the couch while everyone was distracted. Of course, Sydney let out a big squeal and snatched the balloon away from me. Then, Sydney handed the balloon to our home teacher. The home teachers probably think that we are pervert freaks. I asked Xander later why he drew boobs on the balloon and he said that he drew a butterfly with wings on either side of the balloon.

Pirate Party
We had Dylan's pirate party on Saturday. We managed to avoid the scurvy and have a great time.
backbreaker
Sydney was really cranky this afternoon and when she is cranky we all know that she needs a nap. I told her to go to her room for whining but she didn't quite make it and fell asleep on the way up the stairs. Look comfortable?

Sydneyisms
Sydney is always keeping me on my toes asking lots of questions. Today she asked me if horses have eyebrows. I said yes, they do....I hope I'm right.
When Dylan and Sydney were playing house today Sydney was the mom and she told Dylan "Don't hug me because I am preg-a-nant".
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! We had a fun breakfast today of green pancakes, milk, scrambled eggs and green apples. The kids were very concerned about getting pinched so they all wore green underwear...just in case. Don't they look cute?
Zoey Olive
Zoey Olive Grow was born on February 24th at 5:38pm. She weighed 6lbs. 12oz. and was 17 1/2" long. She is doing great and is mobbed by her siblings. We are so excited she is finally here!
